Assistant Professor – OB& HRM
Dr. Richa Chaudhary is an Assistant Professor at School of Management, BML Munjal University. Dr. Richa holds a PhD from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, Roorkee. Her Ph.D. topic was “HRD Climate and Occupational Self-Efficacy as Predictors of Work Engagement” which was largely a multilevel investigation of factors influencing work engagement level of Indian business executives. Prior to her PhD she has a Masters in Business Administration with specialization in Human Resource from BIET Jhansi (govt) and has worked as an HR with a noida based e-learning company, Transweb Educational Services Pvt. Ltd. where she was responsible for all corporate HR activities. She has done her Bachelors in Science and Education (B.Sc B.Ed, 4 year integrated course) from Regional Institute of Education Ajmer (NCERT) and was awarded with best outstanding student award for all the four years. She has been a topper throughout her academic career.
She has published a number research papers, book chapters and book reviews with National and International journals of repute like The Psychologist Manager (Taylor & Francis), Team Performance Management (Emerald), Asia Pacific Journal of Management Research & Innovation (Sage publications), Europe’s Journal of Psychology, Vision: The Journal of Business Perspective (Sage Publications), Indore Management Journal, Global Business Review (Sage Publications) etc.
She has also presented number of research papers in National and International conferences at University of Vienna, Austria, IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Indore, ABV-IIITM Gwalior, JK Lakshmipat University Jaipur, MDI Gurgaon etc. and has three best paper awards to her credit.
She is a regular reviewer for many International journals of repute like Team Performance Management (Emerald), International Journal of Organizational Analysis (Emerald), Asian Business & Management (Palgrave Macmillan), Asian Journal of Social Psychology (Wiley), International Journal of Hospitality Management (Elsevier), IJHRM (Taylor & Francis). She is a member of Indian Society for Training & Development and International Society for Asia Pacific Studies (ISAPS).
Her current research interest is in the area of Corporate Social Responsibility. Specifically, she is interested in exploring the relation between CSR and employee attitudes and behaviours. She is working on the psychological mechanisms and contingencies influencing the nature of relationship between CSR and employee engagement as a measure of employee attitude. Her other research interests include human resource development climate, self-efficacy, work engagement & entrepreneurship.
She has also conducted training sessions on employee engagement at Ambuja Cements Ltd. and Everest Industries Ltd., Roorkee during her Ph.D. She has also delivered lectures and demos on Regression analysis using SPSS and Structural Equation Modeling using AMOS and LISREL in AICTE sponsored short term courses at IIT Roorkee during her Ph.D.
Also, Apart from academics she is a national level player in Kho-Kho and has won number of prizes in High Jump, Long Jump, Athletics (100m, 200m, 4×100 Relay races) level, cricket and volleyball at school and college level. She also holds NCC ‘B’ certificate. In addition, she has also worked as creative consultant in literary sub council of her college.
