BMU’s pedagogy of ‘Doing is the new way of learning’ was covered by NDTV Prime on the 10th of June, for a programme called ‘What’s Brewing at BML Munjal University’. Showcasing BMU’s hands-on learning approach, the channel featured the various partnerships and cutting-edge technology in the labs on campus.
On the 7th of June, Career360 covered the EcoKart. A student initiative, as part of the University’s hands on learning approach, the EcoKart is a low budget passenger electrical kart. Built from scratch, the vehicle can reach a speed of 60km/hr.
The university renewed its focus towards going green and took energy efficiency measures and projects as a part of their ‘integrated campus sustainability initiative’ on World Environment Day.

SAVERA or the Students As Volunteers in Education to Reach & Assist, a student run club on campus has started a tongue twister challenge to increase awareness about the rampant illiteracy plaguing the country.
The challenge is to record a video of yourself, repeating the tongue twister 4 times correctly, share it on the BMU Facebook page and nominate 3 friends to do the same. The tongue twister is as follows: ‘Sunrise to Sunset, Sunset to Sunrise, you Surely Should Share Something with Someone’.
24th of May marked the inauguration of the ‘SHELL Learning Centre’ on campus. The centre has been founded in collaboration with Shell Lubricants and is an initiative towards giving students with a passion for engineering an opportunity to work on live assignments by working with real-life problems.
Comprising of an Automotive Section and an Industrial Section the centre aims to provide real-life hardware exposure and share practical knowledge in lubrication of automotive & industrial applications.
With a focus on educating students on how the principles of lubricant and tribology can be used for not just new developments in automobile and industrial production process, the learning centre will also be used for a wide range of applications, leading to new products, patents and cross disciplinary applications.
Silicon magazine wrote on the 13th of June, about the need for continuously contemporizing curriculum and improving teaching standards in MBA institutes in the country. College wouldn’t have been half as much fun, productive and amazing as it’s been if I take being a BMU Ambassador out of the equation. It is definitely one of the best things that can happen to a Munjalite.
My first year at BMU has been a life-changing experience. The exposure I have got in this one year has made me question a lot of conventions I grew up with. I can feel my mind broadening.
