Arrival at BMU
Bed linen, blankets, toiletries, stationary, personal effects, all original application documents (including school transcripts). Regarding clothes, there is no uniform and you are allowed to wear smart casuals. However, you would be required to bring a formal business suit for formal events, and a set of formal traditional wear.
YES Bank will have a stall on campus during orientation to help students set up bank accounts. Students would need to bring address proof, identity proof, passport size photographs, and a cheque to open an account.
We have YES Bank ATM machine installed inside the campus.
Parents are welcome to be present at orientation. They are cordially invited to join us on 3rd for the Parents Orientations session from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. followed by high tea. However, we will not be able to accommodate them during the night on campus.
Life at BMU
Depending on your class schedule, and after gaining the necessary approval and permission from your parents and the hostel warden, you could go home on the weekend. Students can go home for any eventualities like sickness leading to hospitalization, death in the family, marriage function. However no attendance will be given for missing classes during this period.
After taking the necessary permissions from your parents and the hostel wardens, you will be allowed to leave campus a maximum of once a month, only on weekends. Permission process - faculty whose class he /she will be missing, program office and then hostel warden.
Yes, your parents can visit you. However, there will be no arrangements for them to stay on campus. They would need to arrange their own accommodation. We have tie up with Fortune Hotel (located on the perimeter of our campus) to arrange special deals.
There is no dress code. However, students are required to be in formals for guest lecturers, visitor sessions and official functions.

Events will be updated on the student dashboard of the learning management system. The notice boards will display weekdays and weekend activities.
Alcohol, smoking, and all drugs are strictly prohibited on campus and anyone who violates this rule will be severely punished.
No. We don’t allow students to bring cars or motorbikes on campus.
Gurgaon is a cultural and entertainment hub featuring a number of great malls, parks, and great restaurants. Some places to visit include Mall Mile, Cyber Hub, movie theatres, and Kingdom of Dreams.
The summer months are unbearably hot with temperatures up to 48 degrees Celsius in June, and averages of around 40 degrees from mid April-July. October, November, and March are very pleasant; while December-February are cold, with temperatures going down to 3 degrees. The average high and low temperatures for Gurgaon are:

Yes, the boys and girls hostels are separate. Security presence will make sure boys cannot enter the girls hostel and vice versa.
The cafeteria serves both non-veg and veg meals. Non-veg meals will be charged extra; veg meals are included as part of the hostel fee.
The campus will have 24/7 security presence and CCTV cameras located at strategic locations. The hostel will have security guards at all entrances and exit. Students will have security cards that they will use to enter the hostel buildings.
We will be providing all students with health insurance. There will be a first aid centre on campus. We have tie-up with nearby hospitals to ensure students get required medical treatment in a timely fashion.
Yes, all areas of our campus will have Wi-Fi connectivity.
We will have indoor sports facilities such as chess, and board games. With regards to outdoor sports, we will have football, tennis, cricket, badminton, volleyball, table tennis, and others. There will also be a gym.
The library will be open between 8.00 am upto mid-night 12.

Depending on the class schedule, we could have a 5-day, 6-day, or even 7-day week.
The course calendar will be released during the registration process for term-1. We will observe all holidays (except exigencies) as specified by UGC.
For MBA classes - 120 minutes (2 Hrs.) and for undergraduate classes – 60 minutes (1 Hr.).

The books will be supplied with a discounted rate at the beginning of every term from the program office. The student has to collect books at the beginning of each term while registering for the term.
It is necessary for all students to have a laptop. Those who have opted for laptop (at extra cost) at the time of admission, for such student laptop will be provided by the university. Others will have to get their personal laptop of standard configuration.
Yes, our degrees are UGC recognized.
For School of Management, there will be 3 kind of assessment: continuous assessment inside the class-room, formative assessment through assignments and field work, summative assignment through mid term/end term examination. So every day is an examination day as we will do continuous evaluation.

Yes. The student should have minimum 75% attendance and there will be a letter grade drop in-case of attendance shortfall. However, individual professors may fix a higher attendance grade above the school norms.
There will be a normal distribution curve fitting on relative grading with a lower cut off for passing. Above the pass score, we will fit a normal distribution curve.
For the MBA programme, timings will be spread across the days. Programmes with day scholar arrangements will be over by 5.00 PM.
