BMU in association with Rockman Industries has been intensively involved in the identification of solutions to high value technical problems in automotive industry. One of the projects involves systematic experimentation, detailed analysis and application of innovative thinking to provide unique solution with large scale processing in mind. It envisages to accomplish and implement the vision of Make in India promoted by the Prime Minister adhering to the international environment friendly standards.
The potential outcomes of the research, could also be employed in various sectors such as aerospace, aeronautics, etc.
Shri Gurbachan Singh Randhawa - the legendary athlete and hero of Olympics 1964 - presented the awards and certificates at the annual BMU Sports Awards function that was held in the Auditorium on 21st April. The top 3 Quads in each discipline were awarded their certificates. The BMU Inter-Quad Trophy, a running trophy, was won by the Spartan Quad.
67th Milestone 2.0 - the second edition of the annual Techno-Cultural Management Fest of the University was celebrated with full gusto from 5th April to 7th April. All three days were packed with amazing events, activities, competitions and much more.
Some of the main events at the fest were Theatre Phantamonica, Panache, BMU Pitchers, Battle of Bands, TSEC Summit, Grappling Tournament, Aerial Drone, Battle of Gamerz, HackBMU, Hero Plant Power Challenge, BMU Masterchef 2k18, Robo Wars, Virtual Stock Market, Halls of Summer, Slam Poetry, Dance en Solo, to name a few.
The fest also had Pro Nights intended for the whole BMU community along with the guests to come together and unwind.
One of the highlights was the SunBurn Fest with Julia Bliss, a Russian DJ, that took the festivities to greater heights. The Fest included a lighter side to it with some comedy by the fabulous duo comedians -- Aditya Dubey and Pritish Narula -- who left everyone clutching their stomach in fits and giggles.

Dr. Neha Yadav, Assistant Professor, School of Engineering & Technology at BMU delivered a talk on “Neural networks and Applications” at a Faculty Development Programme on ‘Soft Computing Approaches and its Applications’ organised by the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Institute of Engineering & Technology, Lucknow.
BML Munjal University hosted ICHSA 2018 - the 4th International Conference on Harmony search, Soft Computing and Applications from 7th to 9th February, 2018 in collaboration with the Soft Computing Research Society, NIT Uttarakhand and Korea University, South Korea.
Prof. Shyam Lal Soni, Director NIT Uttarakhand inaugurated the conference in the presence of the Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) B.S. Satyanarayana; Dean, SOET, Prof. (Dr.) M. B. Srinivas; and Honorary chair, Dr. Joong Hoon Kim, Korea University. Eminent Speakers from different parts of the world came to deliver insightful talks in the area of soft computing and optimization techniques.
The conference saw participation from universities throughout the world, and was successful in assembling the great minds of Computer Science Applications in one location making the university resound with an intellectual ring. The conference convener Dr. Neha Yadav, Asst. Professor, Department of Mathematics informed that in total 220 papers were submitted from 16 different countries and out of those, 117 papers registered and were presented during the conference.
