Dr. Goldie Gabrani is an alumnus of Delhi College of Engineering. She completed her BE, ME and PhD (Computer Engineering) from Delhi College of Engineering, University of Delhi.
Dr. Gabrani has been a faculty member at Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT) and Delhi College of Engineering, where she served as head of the Department of Computer Engineering and Information Technology. She has excellent experience in institution building. When she joined NSIT, it was a fledgling institution which gave her an opportunity to be closely associated with institution building activities. As a member of the faculty, she has always believed in teaching beyond the classrooms. She put in her best to inculcate values and develop a strong moral foundation in students. She has been involved in developing academic policies, creating experiments, teaching new technologies, consulting, researching, organizing seminars, workshops, participating in conferences, publishing journals, and building industry linkages. Her research interests include digital hardware design, computer networks, computer architecture, microprocessors, and distributed computing. She is a technology enthusiast. She has developed various working projects; some of which are still being used by the industry. Further, she has been an expert member on various panels of both government and private organizations.
Her industrial experience spans the IT, healthcare and infrastructure sectors. While working with industry, she had the opportunity to apply her academic learning into practice. She was actively involved in developing software routines, hardware circuits, planning IT infrastructure, creating SOPs, training and skill development. She handled a green-field healthcare project – a 500-bed multi-specialty hospital in Delhi – that gave her rich hands-on experience.
